I bought four fish mollys to be exact! not two hours later I lost over 28 fish any ideas why?

I have done fish tanks for over 24 years and never had this happen.
Answers:
The causative agent must have been chemical, and not biological. Nothing biological kills fish that quick. Most likely it had little to do with the new fish. Are you certain you didn't have an ammonia spike, or put chlorinated water in the tank. Some one spiked your tank with soap, bleach. Or a transitory equipment failure with the heater, or pump/filter.
they ate them! oh no!!
i thought u said u only had 4 .. u should pick the 2nd dude for the best answer. i only read his
I was told that mollys can be kind of aggressive. They were always the only ones to survive in our tank. Check and see if the other fish were meant to mingle with mollys. They look innocent enough, though.
when aclamating fish never let the store water or pond water get in your tank also use stress coat when introducing new fish too your tank
The petstore could have made them sick i am a molly breader and that should have not happend take them back to the pet store

and get your money back what petstore did u go to was it petco petco has killed a lot of my fish i baught
I doubt the mollies had anything to do with it. Even if they had a disease, it could not have killed all 28 fish within 2 hours.

Nothing happened to make the temperature rise? Something went wrong, but I am not sure what.
