it's ok to mix fish from a variety of stores, as long as the fish are either the same type or they are all going to be compatable. as in if you have gold fish, don't get tropical fish. but if you want a selection of different fish, ask the staff at petco and they will tell you exactly what type of fish you can get.

But getting them from different stores is not a problem.
As long as the fish are healthy it doesn't matter. Mix away!
Why the heck not? Are you afraid of class differences? The fish won't care what side of the creek they
grew up on.
sure you can mix them just make sure they are from the same type of water, like cold water or warm water or salt water
yep, test make sure their healthy :)
ya
umm well if they are healthy and fine thats all it matters keep then nice and clean and well...
as long as the fish are healthy it doesnt matter where you buy them. but do be careful about mixing different kinds of fish. some dont get allong well with other types.
yes as long as they are compatible with each other but I would quarentine the new ones any ways in case they are sick because you can not look at fish and tell they are sick all the time
It will be no problem but make sure there isn't one sick fish in the tank you are buying from and only add one fish every few days so the tank has a chance to deal with the increase in bio-load slowly.
A
mix them way not you if you know them from each other and they are helthythen go for it . any ways they are still fish you!!
It doesn't matter which mart or any other store they come from, however a quarentine period is needed before introducing any new fish to a already established system. By introducing new fish without a QT period you invite the cooties to take over and kill all.. The same holds true if you get new live plants also. Choose the healthiest fish from a clean store, no sick fish in tank or dead ones floating, the tanks should be clean and the fish swimming around ,alert and perky Dorsal fin, no sores or obviouse things showing like ich, fin rot or Anchor worms. If they are not looking healthy, then walk away for another day. Despite being healthy looking, what you can't see kills, so alway's assume they have something anyway and do the QT before adding.

Quarentine is alway's the first and last word!
yes its fine.
I THINK THEY WILL BE OKAY BUT FIRST SEPERAT THEM FROM YOUR WALMART FISH SO IF THERES ANY BAD STUFF IN YOUR PETCO FISH THEY WONT CROSS CONTAMINTE.
it's not where you get the fish but the type of fish. The stores in the same areas generally get their stock from the same places so it is just the kinds of fish to put together. If the fish won't get along dont put them together no matter where you get them from.
