how would you know if your beta fish is blind?

Answers:
Take it to a fish opthamologist. No, put another beta in there-or use a mirror, and if the "blind" one faces it, it's not blind -Moca LOLOLOL
if it swims into the side of the tank all the time
Move some of the obstacles around in his tank. If he runs into them he's most likely blind. I know that some fish go blind when you put black lights on the tank. So if you've been doing that you've got a pretty good chance of a fish with an eye problem.
It's a fish!! Who cares. Just get another one and put it in there with it. You'll know soon enough and you'll still have a beta fish.
does it run into things?

remember, fish have eyes on the side of their heads so they're not great at depth perception / seeing in front of them
if you hold up a mirror to him and he does nothing, he's probably blind. They usually get all fluffy and turn a brighter color, and bite at their reflection.
Put a mirror up to the tank in front of him if he does nothing then he is blind.Beta fish are fighting fish and if he and I guess it is a he see another Beta this one being himself in the mirror he will try to fight it.Only the males are bright and beautiful the females are not.
buy a small cane for him and drop into fish tank if he took your cane mean that he is blind!
put another beta fish in front of it?if it looks agressive, then your fish is not blind..or if your beta fish's eyeballs appear to be white in colour, then it's blind..so sad..
ummmm. if it alwats hits into the sides of the tank
No idea, but I can tell you that every betta I've had has been very near-sighted, allowing me to house more then one or males and females in the same tank. They rarely saw each other and when one started chasing the other it will quickly lose sight of it.
A
if he bumps into walls~~~
