i have algae problem in one of my aquariums .?

all my aquariums are in the same room, same light, tempature plants. this algea problem is only in the trank with my graumies can this be the reason?
Answers:
What are you feeding?
Algae flakes can create this problem.
So can plants
Is there an Algae eater in that tank? if not, introduce one
Gouramis don't eat algae.
Are you experiencing a bloom?
An algae bloom while not harmful to fish can make the water, walls, pipes, filter grids (under gravel) and gravel bed a mess . Render fish inviable and make you nuts.
Adding agents to remove the algae, Chemical algae control, Is not nor will ever be a suggestion of mine. No matter what others say I have never had good luck with them. A diatom filter will clean the tank cetching the spoors and floating algae they are also powerful enough to really clean the gravel bed. you can clean the tubes with a tube brush then introduce an algae eater to maintain the tank
Is this tank close to a window? I know you said the light in the room is the same, but if your tank is any where near a window especially with a south face algae can get pretty bad. Your Guarani can not cause algae to grow but he probably does not consume any of it.
Why don't you just buy some of those fish that eat the algae, it depends on the size of the tank. Because some of them will out grow the tank. And I think it's also based on the water conditions in the tank.
High nitrates due over population. Or maybe the other fish are eating the algae. Most gourami won't eat algae.
Maby they're the reason but i would recomend getting snails, they will help reduce the algae, also there may be somethong wrong with the fillter.
get some catfish or some pleco's. they keep my tank spotless
easy question get a algae eater fom a fish stor you don't even have to feed them they eat the algae
