He should be ok just different. I have a pond catfish in our tank names sharkley. He or she will not let anothe fish live in the tank.
He has only one eye as sometimes or the other someone evidently caught him in the eye wth a hook. But he's fine and doesn't get any larger. Actually pond catfish are easier to keep and we fe dhim regular goodlfish(cheap viarity).
I think sharkley had some kids but we don't know what happened to them. Someone said they seen em hanging around with a bunch of tater tots on a seafood platter down at the seafood cafe.:) ,
2 piece's of afvice , keep her away form a sushi bar and take er to a vet
my advice is to take him back,if something should happen to it and you've become used to it then what
Hiya,

The catfish should be ok. You can try using some melafix, it works great for small injuries like that (I have never used quick cure, but read the directions if using it). Also, keep an eye of the shark or other fish bothering the catfish, so they dont cause him more stress and hinder the healing process. Once the catfish is healed, he may look different, but as long as it doesnt interfere with his eating, he should be fine.

Increase your water changes and decrease what you feed. With ideal water conditions, most fish will heal. Be careful about adding meds to your tank. Most of them will destroy the beneficial bacteria in your tank, in the long run, you are better off losing one fish rather then having a whole tank of sick fish. Adding freshwater salt to your tank will also help speed healing.
