i have a pond outside my house but the water gets greeny very soon n y is this happening?

i have put tiles on my acquariums floor is that the reason or is it due to the sunlight
Answers:
Green water = ALGEA. Algea is growing in your pond. Check with a pond store for how to correct it.
Pond water needs to circulate.
algea ! check with your county agent or a good pond building co.
its ofcourse due to the algea.
The green color comes from the moss (algae), created as the interaction of the bacteria in the water with the sunlight if the water is not running or circulating. Usually form faster in tropical weather or in hot climate, summer. In aquarium and pond, to prevent it from happening, you must put water circulation pump to keep the water ciculating and put filter. The aquarium supply shop usually has the filter.
Are the tiles light colored? If so, that is probably the cause. Too much direct sunlight is what causes the algae to grow. Maybe a small tree or a canopy would do the trick.

In aquariums, anything that is light colored is the first to get algae on it and usually grows the most.
Two things really. You have to allow fresh oxygen in and you also need to maintain the proper pH to support the life. Placing title on the floor complicate both of these. You are no longer using the earth below as a filter for your pond water.

You'll need to add a pump to circulate the water and add appropriate plant life to balance with your fish to maintain a healthy pH and minimize the algae.
it is allgy and shoul be treated and a pump shd be put in to circulate the water
You need a pump that will put the water up in the sunlight which will kill bacteria. They also make filters for outside pools. It's a matter of bacteria. I would try the pump. They even make a solar one. Try
Northern Supply Co.
it's from algae.get an algae reducer
fit a UV light on the pump. you water will stay crystal clear like mine for 25 years . also they dont like to much sunlight .
