I have been feeding my beda fish wheat bread for about 6-7 months?

Do you think it will live much longer and it is healthy for him? He seems to enjoy it when I feed him scraps of it.
Answers:
Bettas are carnivores. Sure it will eat b/c that is the only thing avaliable. It needs food made just for bettas. I feed mine a mix of betta pellets, freeze dried blood worms and I am about to add live baby brine shrimp to the mix. Meat. Its what they need. Bread is not healthy for him and will not make him live any longer.
Bettas are meat eaters, preferably live food. Given a good diet and kept in clean water a betta should live 2-2.5 years.
imm im honestly suprized he's not dead. That CANT be healthy 4 it.
I think you should eat bread for 7 months.
add hard boiled egg yokes to this fishes diet. almost any fish is 'egg yoke crazy'i have ben very sugsessful in feeding this to numerous different species of tropical fish for years. however feed sparingly and several times daily
well it has been a long time but i still think u should feed him betta food it is much healthier and it has all the nurtients and vitamins that the betta needs.
When betta gets hungry they eat (or at least try to eat) anything thats small and that lands in the water. Eg. insects, aquatic larvas, worms, fishfood, bread, etc.

They can also go on a long spell without food.

Your betta will probably survive since it's already done so for so long on bread, but I can't tell you if its healthy for the fish or if theres gonna be any impact on it life span. As recommended, switching to betta food or at least fish food would be better for the betta.
wow..
this has got to be a hoax.
i think a betta would rather starve to death than eat bread.
